Request for Proposals – Science for Solutions Research Grant

Update on Air Monitoring Station Maintenance and Shut Downs
(07/31/19)–The Harrisville and Herriman air monitoring stations are currently undergoing maintenance. Data from these sites should be considered experimental, and it is expected that some data will be missing. Data will be available once they return to service.
The Brigham City and Ogden air monitoring stations have been shut down. We are currently exploring potential relocation opportunities and will have a new update once we have more information.
Utah Year-round Air Quality Outreach Campaign Grant – Grant Solicitation
(07/03/19)–The Utah Division of Air Quality (UDAQ) is seeking an independent, non-profit organization to conduct a year-round air quality outreach campaign in Utah for the State’s FY2020 (July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020). The Division is requesting applications from candidate organizations for a grant of up to $500,000 to support such a campaign. This document outlines the project background and requirements and establishes the process for preparing grant applications. Completed application forms are due by Friday, July 26, 2019, and the successful applicant(s) will be selected by Friday, August 9, 2019.

Data Requirements Rule: 2018 SO2 Emissions Annual Report
(06-17/19)–§51.1205(b) of the Data Requirements Rule (DRR) for the 2010 1-Hour Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) Primary National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) requires air agencies to submit an annual report that documents the annual SO2 emissions of each applicable source to the EPA Regional Administrator by July 1 of each year, beginning with the calendar year after the effective date of the area’s initial designation. The 30-day public inspection period ends at 5:00 pm on July 18, 2019. Download the report (787 KB).

2018 State of the Environment Report
Utah continues to make significant progress towards understanding and addressing the causes of seasonal air pollution. Increased public awareness and legislative funding for research have provided important support for the DAQ in its ongoing efforts to reduce pollution, improve air quality, and protect public health.

2017 Emissions Inventory
(02/08/18)—The Utah Division of Air Quality has implemented an online, web-based method of emissions inventory submittals.
Oil & Gas Source Registration
The registration process will help UDAQ identify oil and gas facilities on state lands, thereby increasing the resolution of oil and gas emissions inventories and allowing for more comprehensive compliance assessments.
