Update October 21, 2021 (HABs)
On October 20th, the DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Lost Creek Reservoir. The monitoring team observed harmful algal blooms near the boat launch. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were collected and results are pending.
Update September 24, 2021 (HABs)
On September 23rd, the DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Lost Creek Reservoir. The monitoring team did not observe harmful algal blooms at all sites visited. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were not collected.
Samples taken on 9/9/2021 were returned on September 10th. The sample from the southeast shore contained a toxigenic cell density below the UDWQ/UDOH recommended Warning Advisory threshold of 100,000 cells/mL. DWQ will resume routine monthly monitoring.
