Update October 8, 2021 (HABs)
The Southwest Utah Health Department has issued a Warning Advisory for Panguitch Lake.
Samples from 9/27/2021 were returned on October 7th with a toxigenic cell density of nearly 10,000,000 cell/mL at the surface which is above UDWQ/UDOH recommended Warning Advisory threshold of 100,000 cells/mL. DWQ will continue to watch the reservoir closely.

Update September 28, 2021 (HABs)
The Department of Water Quality has issued a Health Watch for Panguitch Lake.
A suspected harmful algal bloom was observed on September 24th. DWQ partners visited Panguitch Lake on September 27th to take cyanotoxin and cell density samples. Results are pending. As UDWQ and UDOH continue to visit and monitor waterbodies, updates will be posted.
