Monitoring for harmful algal blooms on November 9, 2022

Recreation water quality monitoring has ended for the season. Weber-Morgan Health Department has removed the Warning Advisory.

As of last sampling on 10/18 a HAB was still present at Pineview Reservoir. Know how to recognize the signs of a harmful algal bloom and recreate safely.

Monitoring will resume in summer 2023.

WARNING ADVISORY

Weber-Morgan Health Department has issued a Warning Advisory for the Port Ramp Marina and Windsurfer Beach area of Pineview Reservoir.

Under a Warning Advisory:

BE CAREFUL: Sampling on 10/6 showed high concentrations of harmful algae at this location. Toxins may be present in the water.

BE CAREFUL: Our monitoring team saw visible signs of a harmful algal bloom at Windsurfer Beach and Port Ramp Marina. Harmful algae and toxins may be present throughout the waterbody. Samples were collected and results are pending. Check back for updates.
