Update June 24, 2021 (HABs/Waterborne Pathogens)

The DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Strawberry Reservoir for routine monitoring on June 23rd. Harmful algal blooms were not observed near the day-use areas at Aspen Grove, Soldier Creek Marina, Renegade Point, or Strawberry Marina. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were not collected.

The DWQ waterborne pathogens team also visited Strawberry Reservoir for routine monitoring on June 23rd. Samples taken at the Strawberry Marina, Soldier Creek Marina, Renegade and Aspen areas did not contain E. coli above recreational thresholds.

Routine sampling for both HABs and waterborne pathogens will continue monthly.


Update June 2, 2021 (HABs/Waterborne Pathogens)

The Division of Water Quality and Utah Department of Health began monitoring for harmful algal blooms and waterborne pathogens on June 1, 2021. As UDWQ and UDOH continue to visit and monitor waterbodies, updates will be posted.
