Update November 1, 2021 (Waterborne Pathogens/HABs)
The DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Strawberry Reservoir on October 27th. Harmful algal blooms were observed at the Strawberry Marina Day Use area and Renegade Point. Harmful algal blooms were not observed at the day-use areas at Aspen Grove and Soldier Creek Marina. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were collected. Results were returned on 11/1/2021 below the UDWQ/UDOH recommended Warning Advisory threshold of 100,000 cells/mL. DWQ will resume routine monthly monitoring.
DWQ waterborne pathogens monitoring team also visited Strawberry reservoir on September 27th. Samples taken at the Strawberry Marina, Soldier Creek Marina, Renegade and Aspen areas did not contain E. coli above recreational thresholds.
Update September 24, 2021 (HABs)
HABs samples taken on 9/16/2021 were returned on September 24th. The sample from the Marina Day Use Area contained a toxigenic cell density below the UDWQ/UDOH recommended Warning Advisory threshold of 100,000 cells/mL. DWQ will resume routine monthly monitoring.
Update September 17, 2021 (Waterborne Pathogens/HABs)
The DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Strawberry Reservoir for routine monitoring on September 16th. Harmful algal blooms were observed at the Strawberry Marina Day Use area. Harmful algal blooms were not observed at the day-use areas at Aspen Grove, Soldier Creek Marina, or Renegade Point. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were collected and results are pending.
DWQ waterborne pathogens monitoring team also visited Strawberry reservoir on September 16th. Samples taken at the Strawberry Marina, Soldier Creek Marina, Renegade and Aspen areas did not contain E. coli above recreational thresholds.
Update August 23, 2021 (HABs)
The DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Strawberry Reservoir for routine monitoring on August August 18th. Harmful algal blooms were not observed near the day-use areas at Aspen Grove, Soldier Creek Marina, Renegade Point, or Strawberry Marina. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were not collected. Routine monitoring will continue.
Update August 19, 2021 (Waterborne Pathogens)
The DWQ waterborne pathogens team visited Strawberry Reservoir for routine monitoring on August 18th. Samples taken at the Strawberry Marina, Soldier Creek Marina, Renegade and Aspen areas did not contain E. coli above recreational thresholds.
Update July 29, 2021 (HABs)
The DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Strawberry Reservoir for routine monitoring on June July 28th. Harmful algal blooms were not observed near the day-use areas at Aspen Grove, Soldier Creek Marina, Renegade Point, or Strawberry Marina. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were not collected.

The DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Strawberry Reservoir for routine monitoring on June 23rd. Harmful algal blooms were not observed near the day-use areas at Aspen Grove, Soldier Creek Marina, Renegade Point, or Strawberry Marina. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were not collected.

Update June 2, 2021 (HABs/Waterborne Pathogens)
The Division of Water Quality and Utah Department of Health began monitoring for harmful algal blooms and waterborne pathogens on June 1, 2021. As UDWQ and UDOH continue to visit and monitor waterbodies, updates will be posted.
