Monitoring for harmful algal blooms on September 20, 2022

OK, but be careful: Samples collected were below Utah Department of Health recreational thresholds – that’s good news! However, low levels of harmful algae were observed near Renegade Point and Strawberry Marina. Know how to recognize the signs of a harmful algal bloom and avoid areas of algae scum when recreating.

However, moderate numbers of harmful algae were present near Renegade Point and could be present in other parts of the reservoir.
