Update October 27, 2021 (Waterborne Pathogens)
On October 25th, the DWQ waterborne pathogens monitoring team visited Willard Bay. Samples from Eagle Beach, Pelican Beach, the Pond and Willard Bay State Park Marina Beach did not contain E. coli above recreational thresholds. Routine sampling will continue monthly.
Update October 25, 2021 (HABs)
On October 25th, the DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Willard Bay. The monitoring team did not observe a harmful algal bloom. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were not collected. As UDWQ and UDOH continue to visit and monitor waterbodies, updates will be posted.
Update September 10, 2021 (Waterborne Pathogens)
On September 8th, the DWQ waterborne pathogens monitoring team visited Willard Bay. Samples from Eagle Beach, Pelican Beach, the Pond and Willard Bay State Park Marina Beach did not contain E. coli above recreational thresholds. Routine sampling will continue monthly.

On June 1st, the DWQ waterborne pathogens monitoring team visited Willard Bay. Samples from Eagle Beach, Pelican Beach, and Willard Bay State Park Marina Beach did not contain E. coli above recreational thresholds. Routine sampling will continue monthly.
Update June 9, 2021 (HABs)
Lab results from the June 2nd visit have been processed and reported <0.3 µg/L Microcystin from the sample, which is below the UDWQ/UDOH recreational health threshold. UDWQ will continue to monitor this waterbody normally.
Update June 4, 2021 (HABs)
On June 2nd, the DWQ HABs monitoring team visited Willard Bay. The monitoring team did not observe a harmful algal bloom. Cyanotoxin and cell density samples were collected, but have not been processed. As UDWQ and UDOH continue to visit and monitor waterbodies, updates will be posted.
