Farmington Bay Algal Bloom 2016

Data Update: August 9, 2016 A sample collected in Farmington Bay on July 29, 2016, showed high levels of nodularin (244 µg/L) and low but detectable levels of anatoxin-a, cylindrospermopsin, and saxitoxin. Cyanobacteria identified and enumerated during that time consist of Nodularia spumigena (42,000 cells/mL) and Pseudanabaena sp. (337,000 cells/mL).
