Anfield Resources Holding, Corp.

Update February 1, 2016

On January 29, 2016 the Director of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control approved the Transfer of Control of the Shootaring Canyon Uranium Mill from Uranium One Americas, Inc. to Anfield Resources Holding Corporation (Anfield Resources). Transfer of control of the Mill also included changing the name of Radioactive Material License No. UT0900480 and Utah Groundwater Quality Discharge Permit No. UGW170003 to Anfield Resources. Anfield Resources is required to submit a License Renewal Application on or before June 30, 2016.


Update December 8, 2015

On November 17, 2015, Uranium One Americas, Inc. (Uranium One) and Anfield Resources Holding Corp. (Anfield) requested an extension of the expiration date (April 30, 2014) of the Shootaring Canyon Uranium Mill’s Radioactive Material License for six months. Previously, on March 28, 2014, Uranium One submitted a request to extend the expiration date of the RML by six months. This request was approved by the DWMRC on April 15, 2014 with a new expiration date of October 31, 2014. The License Renewal Application was required to be submitted by October 31, 2015. NO License Renewal Application was received by the DWMRC by that date. On December 2, 2015 DWMRC responding to the November 17, 2015 request giving Anfield until June 30, 2016 to submit a renewal application.


Update October 20, 2014

The Director has reviewed the additional information provided in letter (3 MB) dated September 29, 2014. Based on this review, the Director in letter (1 MB) dated October 17, 2014, has authorized the Change of Control and Ownership from Uranium One Americas, Inc to Anfield Resources Holding Corp.


Update September 18, 2014

On August 15, 2014, the Director of the Utah Division of Radiation Control (DRC) received a Notice of Change of Control and Ownership (11 MB) from Uranium One Americas, Inc and Anfield Resources Holding Corp. The submission is currently under review by the Division. The DRC has requested additional information in an RFI letter (453 KB) dated September 16, 2014.


Update April 24, 2014

On April 15, 2014 the Director of the Utah Division of Radiation Control (DRC) provided a letter (453 KB) to Uranium One Americas, Inc. granting a 6 month extension of the current radioactive material license. The Director granted the extension in accordance with R313-22-36(6).


Update March 31, 2014

On March 31, 2014 the Director of the Utah Division of Radiation Control (DRC) received a letter (661 KB) from Uranium One Americas, Inc. requesting a 6 month extension of the current radioactive material license. The submission is currently under review by the Division.


Update March 2014: Notice of Change of Control and Ownership

On March 17, 2014, however, Black Range Minerals announced that the acquisition of Uranium One Inc’s conventional mining assets has failed, since “it has not been possible to obtain several requisite regulatory approvals prior to the Completion Date [March 14, 2014]”. This news article (20 MB) explains that the deal died because they weren’t able to agree to an extension between Uranium One and Black Range Minerals:

Uranium One Indirect Transfer of Control

On February 20, 2013 the Director of the Utah Division of Radiation Control (DRC) gave his consent (161 KB) for the indirect transfer of control for the uranium mill site in Shootaring Canyon near Ticaboo, Garfield County. Uranium One made this request in a letter (809 KB) dated January 29, 2013, where the DRC received notification of a proposed financial transaction between Uranium One and JSC Atomredmetzoloto (ARMZ). ARMZ, a Russian joint stock company, purchased the remaining outstanding common shares of Uranium One, the parent company to the Uranium One Americas from its previously held amount of 51%.

The Utah Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Division of Radiation Control (DRC) has completed its review of the comments received during the 30-day public comment period regarding the proposal to grant an extension to the existing Radioactive Material License (License) for Uranium One America’s Inc. Update January 14, 2014

On January 14, 2014 the Director of the Utah Division of Radiation Control (DRC) received a notice of Change of Control and Ownership from Uranium One Americas, Inc. The submission is currently under review by the Division. Additional information was provided in a letter dated January 20, 2014.
