Notification of Subsurface Petroleum Contamination

Through the Blue Stakes Utility notification system, the Utah Division of Environmental Response and Remediation (DERR) receives a notification that you plan to excavate in the vicinity of a former Leaking Underground Storage Tank facility.

Residual petroleum contaminated soils and/or groundwater may be present within your excavation area. If you would like more information regarding the location and extent of known impacts prior to initiating your work, please contact Chelsea Qualls (cqualls@utah.gov) at (801) 536-4100.

If you do encounter any petroleum vapors, stained soils or groundwater with an oily sheen, immediately contact the DERR at (801) 536-4100, and refer to this Notice.
