Owner and Operator Testing Dates and Times: Owner/Operator Training and Registration Program:

You must complete a Approved Operator Training Course prior to taking the Owner/Operator exam. The State may administer the exam at the conclusion of the training course. Contact the course instructor for more information.

All students taking the Owner/Operator exam must register with DERR at least one week prior to taking the exam. This
includes exams taken with A and B Operator Training Courses. See Owner/Operator Testing Requirements for more details.

1st Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
3rd Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m.

Examination

• The same exam applies to both Class A and Class B Operators.
• The exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions, is open book, and has a time limit of two hours.
• Students can use reference material, including course material provided by a vendor.
