Class V Landfill Information

On October 30, 2020, Promontory Point Resources, LLC submitted an application to reclassify its Promontory Point Landfill, from a noncommercial Class I nonhazardous solid waste facility to a commercial Class V nonhazardous solid waste facility. On February 23, 2023, a provisional Statement of Basis provided the Director’s intent to deny the application. A 45-day comment period was provided for public comments on the Director’s intent, and a public hearing was held on March 27, 2023 to hear oral comments.

On October 7, 2024, a Final Permit Order was issued to deny the application.  More information can be obtained by clicking Final Permit Order, SW416.
