Weber River Recreational Monitoring

Updates:

October 31, 2023: Waterborne pathogen (E. coli)  monitoring update

Recreational monitoring has ended for the season. Monitoring will resume in summer 2024. Waterborne pathogens may still arise at this waterbody. Know what to look for and check before recreating.

June 22, 2023: Waterborne pathogen (E. coli) monitoring update

GOOD NEWS: E. coli counts were measured below Utah Department of Health recreational thresholds. Sampling suggests that the water is safe from harmful bacteria and viruses. The Summit County Health Department and the Weber-Morgan Health Department have removed the Health Watch for the Weber River.

June 14, 2023: Waterborne pathogen (E. coli) monitoring update

BE CAREFUL: E. coli counts from samples collected on June 12, at the Weber River near both Taggart Ln and Henefer are above Utah Department of Health Recreational thresholds. Sampling suggests that there is a  likelihood that harmful bacteria and/or viruses are present in the water. Exposure to this water may make humans sick.
