Recreational monitoring has ended for the season. Monitoring will resume in summer 2024. A harmful algal bloom may still arise at this waterbody. Know what to look for and check before recreating.

GOOD NEWS: A harmful algal bloom has not been present during the past two monitoring visits. The advisory has been removed for Strawberry Reservoir. As always, know how to spot a harmful algal bloom, and use care when recreating.

BE CAREFUL: Harmful algae may be present near Jake’s Bay (Chicken Creek East area). Samples from this date indicate levels were much lower than previously measured. Check back for updates in the following weeks.
Wasatch Health Department has issued a WARNING ADVISORY.
If you visit the Jake’s Bay area:
- Do not swim or water ski
- Avoid areas of algae when boating
- Clean fish well and discard guts
- Keep animals away
- Don’t drink the water
- Know how to recognize a harmful algal bloom
