Steed Pond, Clearfield E. coli Event 2018

Update November 11, 2018

Sampling conducted over two weeks per Division of Water Quality (DWQ) Standard Operating Procedures (1 MB) were greater than the Maximum Probable Number Values (MPN) values, so the advisory remains in place.

Sampling has concluded for the 2018 monitoring season.

Update October 1, 2018

Davis County Health Department posted an E. coli related recreation advisory at Steed Pond in Clearfield on Monday October 1, 2018 advising the public not to swim or wade in the water. Water samples from Steed Pond show E. coli concentrations exceeding water quality standards for Class 2B beneficial use (infrequent primary contact). Davis County Health Department will continue to monitor E. coli concentrations at Steed Pond through the end of October.
